ELECTROLYSIS
THE TRADITIONAL WAY TO PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL
WHAT IS ELECTROLYSIS

Electrolysis is a medically proven form of permanent hair removal. The practice of electrolysis has a history going back over 80 years. Today, equipment is very safe and much less painful than the models of yesteryear. At All Body Laser Clinic, we use modern, programmed computerized equipment, which has proven to be very safe and reliable in terms of treatment results. A well trained & skilled electrologist is also essential for achieving good results.

The object with electrolysis is to destroy the hair root (the active hair growing cells of the hair follicle), so the hair does not grow back. Sufficient amount of energy and duration must be calculated to ensure good treatment results. Good treatment results means the hair releases readily and the destructive energy does not reach the surface of the skin to produce unwanted surface damage.

We provide electrolysis for more complete hair removal when laser is not an option
THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Proper precautions & sanitation throughout your treatment
  • Mandatory use of sterile disposable filaments are used for each treatment
  • Electrolysis can remove all hair colours including white, grey blonde and red hair
  • Electrolysis can remove any hair that has become un-reactive to lasers because it has become too fine in size or too light in colour
  • Electrolysis can remove hair growth on tattoos.... where lasers cannot go without affecting the tattoo pigment and design.
  • Patience and commitment is needed to complete your hair removal, as each individual hair follicle must be treated.
  • Electrolysis treats the follicles progressively, like lasers we must wait for all inactive follicles to regenerate and produce their hairs.
  • The best results are achieved when the hair & follicle are in it’s anagen phase of growth
  • Temporarily redness welts or swelling is normal after an electrolysis treatment. Crusting , scabbing or in rare cases, bruising can also occur. Scarring should not occur
  • Good home care with regular topical antibiotic ointment is essential to avoid skin inflammation or infections .
